Brendan Schwartz

Lab member / Graduate Researcher

Hi, my name is Brendan Schwartz! I graduated from Villanova University in May 2022 (Summa Cum Laude) and am now a first-year Human Factors & Human-Computer Interaction Master’s student here at Rice University. As someone who has always wanted to serve others, I initially struggled to find which career field would allow me to best utilize my talents and achieve this goal. My search led me to the wonderful field of Human Factors, and I have never looked back! My love of problem-solving has led to a desire to challenge myself and tackle impactful human factors-related issues relating to attention, decision-making, safety, and usability. Ideally, I would like to work in the automotive, aviation, or aerospace industries, so being a member of such an applied, interdisciplinary lab as HAC Lab is truly an honor!

When not in the classroom or the lab, you can usually find me outside, listening to music, or both! As an avid and competitive tennis player, I love to stay active and get some fresh air.
